Business Development Manager

Job Purpose:To improve the organization's market position and achieve financial growth by implementing organizational strategic goal, building key customer relational, identifying business opportunities, negotiating, and closing business deals and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions. Reporting to: Commercial Manager. Minimum Requirements:Matric / Grade 12Completed bachelor's degree3 + years of customer/commercial experienceAutomotive Industry Tier 1 experience (Highly Advantageous) Main Responsibilities:New Business Development:Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased businessMeet potential client by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your networkIdentify potential client, and the decision makers within the client organizationResearch and build relationship with new clientsSet up meetings between client decision maker and company's practices leaders /PrincipalsPlan approaches and pitches, work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client's needs, concerns, and objectivesParticipate in pricing the solution/serviceHandle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreement, and working through differences to a positive conclusionHave full understanding of contribution statements and position discussions with customer if under recovering in a commodityDrive new business opportunities through RFQ processDrive pricing and profitability discussions with customersClient Retention:Present new products and services and enhance existing relationshipsWork with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needsArrange and participate in internal and external client debriefsBusiness Development Planning:Attend industry function, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trendsPresent to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new service, products, and distribution channelsUsing knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company's unique selling propositions and differentiatorsManagement and Research:Submit weekly progress reports and ensure date is accurateEnsure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company's CRM or other sales management systemForecast sales target and ensure they are met by the teamTrack and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targetsEnsure all team members represent the company in the best lightUnderstand the company's goal and purpose so that will be continual to enhance the company' performance Key Skills and Competencies:CAD softwareRFQ process; APQP &PPAPISO standardIATF 16949Risk Assessment
