Business Development Manager

Responsible for procuring new business by presenting to key Stakeholders, Senior executives, and boards of directors in order to expand the KZN footprint. Proven experience in closing large corporate contracts, working with PPA Agreements within the energy sector will secure this position.Key Responsibilities:Customer Acquisition: Craft and execute strategies to attract and secure new clients in the energy and renewables sector, particularly targeting mining and industrial markets.Deal Process Management: Guide customers through the entire deal lifecycle, from initial contact to final agreement, ensuring smooth negotiations and successful outcomes.Sales Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing sales team, aligning their efforts with company objectives and achieving consistent results.Sales Strategy & Execution: Design, implement, and oversee comprehensive sales plans and tactics to meet company goals and enhance market presence.PPA Negotiations: Spearhead negotiations of Power Purchase Agreements with key stakeholders, showcasing a thorough understanding of commercial and legal aspects.Client Relationship Management: Utilize an extensive network within the mining and industrial sectors to expand the customer base and foster long-term partnerships.Performance Tracking & Reporting: Monitor sales performance, ensure targets are met, and provide regular updates on team and individual achievements.Market & Competitor Analysis: Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to adapt strategies and maintain competitiveness.Customer Retention: Develop and implement strategies to retain customers, ensuring long-term loyalty and satisfaction.Product Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of the companys products and services to effectively communicate their value to customers.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, product development, and finance, to ensure cohesive strategies and successful sales initiatives.Training & Development: Offer ongoing training and development opportunities for the sales team to enhance their skills and performance.Budget Management: Manage the sales budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and adherence to financial targets.Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the sales process and develop proactive strategies to mitigate them.Requirements:Bachelors degree in business, Marketing, Electrical, Engineering, or a related field 15 - 20 Years Proven experience in Business-to-Business Sales with 5 years at management levelExperience in Power Purchase AgreementsExperience working in the following industries advantageous - mining, manufacturing, agricultural or energy solutions. Excel expertise Intermediate (Advanced preferred)Ability to travel as required.Remuneration: R100 000 - R125 000 + Incentives (Subject to Experience)***If you are not contacted within 14 days please consider your application unsuccessful***
