Business Development ManagerWe're accepting applications for the position of Business Development Manager. The Business Development Manager represents the company's client-facing brand and will be responsible for creating and driving effective sales management strategies to generate revenue; proactively identifying opportunities for business growth through new and renewed sales agreements; building and maintaining customer relations and brand loyalty; improving customer satisfaction; and successfully promoting products and solutions to optimize the businesses revenue and competitive advantage. The Business Development Manager will proactively contribute to the creation of engaging content for purposes of social media, advertisements, emails, and other relevant digital or printed media.ResponsibilitiesDeveloping and implementing strategic plans to expand our customer base in the procurement and supply chain sectors, focusing on both transactional and annuity revenue streamsEstablishing and driving the sales strategy to deliver sustainable business growthImplementing new and innovative sales and marketing techniques to support business objectivesApplying knowledge of forensic investigations to identify and leverage business opportunitiesMaintaining and enhancing relationships with existing clients, focusing on upselling and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyaltyIdentifying internal and external leads and business opportunities and pursuing through to conversionIdentifying and fostering strong relationships with strategic clients, both new and existingIdentifying and targeting new customers through strategic market segment focus, understanding the unique needs and challenges of each segmentPresenting existing and new products to clients to grow businessManaging and nurturing the sales pipeline, ensuring a steady flow of opportunities and a robust sales forecastRemaining current with market demands, competitor analysis, and trends and proposing feasible opportunities to keep the business positioned as a market leaderDeveloping, coaching, and managing a team of relevant resources to support the objectives of the department and businessRegularly engaging the client base to understand and communicate back on user demand and customer experienceMaintaining relationships with all internal stakeholders, ensuring that demand is effectively communicated for optimal product delivery and advancementManaging and creating engaging content for digital and print media, in support of sales effortsDriving revenue growth by developing and executing on strategies for both new business acquisition and upselling to existing clientsMeasuring and reporting on sales and marketing outcomes to increase efficiency and ROIProviding regular reports to senior management on pipeline status, sales results, and strategic initiative progressPreparing and analysing budgets, controlling expenditure, and ensuring that the sales team meets their quotas and goalsWorking closely with the procurement, supply chain, and forensic investigation teams to align business development strategies with company capabilities and market needsDesired Experience & QualificationDegree or National Diploma in Marketing or Business Administration or ManagementDriver License with own reliable transportMinimum of 5 years' experience in a business development role, with a focus on procurement and supply chain sectorsMarketing experience would be preferredProven expertise in forensic investigations and its application in business developmentStrong track record of managing both transactional and annuity revenue customer relationshipsExperience in upselling to existing customers and acquiring new customers through strategic market segmentationAdvanced knowledge of business development, sales and marketing strategies, and brand expansionExperience with lead qualification at all levels within organizations – Managers, Directors, ExecutivesExperience in generating and analyzing data and reports
