Job Description
As a manager, account executive you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team responsible for a portfolio of clients. You will lead the strategy development, and are accountable for the execution of the strategy with the portfolio of clients by collaborating across several functional areas. A high degree of commercial and technical acumen is required along with demonstrated ability to drive strategic objectives to closure.
Job Scope
Lead a portfolio of clients by developing and maintaining the relationship between Visa and the member.
Contribute to development, production and implementation of initiatives outlined in Country plans.
Manage the Mid-market client portfolio for South Africa, Lesotho and Eswatini.
Drive short and long term strategic goals for clients.
Understand and clearly articulate how Visa's new payment tools and technologies will drive commercial value to our clients.
Follow global industry and local market trends, to package relevant insights and solutions to Visa's clients.
Support in identifying size and closing new business opportunities by analyzing client's market positioning, product profile and strategy, enabling Visa's functional teams to customize relevant solutions to fit identified needs.
Work with clients and Visa functional teams on ways to drive business value by offering advice on the development of target markets, product development, analytics and relevant best practices.
Evaluate competitive actions with respect to the local market and recommend appropriate action.
Attend to member queries and issues, and provide timely and efficient solutions.
Ensure Members compliance to service levels, integrity of service records and efficient resolution of complaints.
Provide periodical reports (Weekly/Monthly or quarterly) as agreed with Country Manager.
Regular market sales visits.
Co-ordinate with other Visa departments in order to successfully implement the country plans.
Complete ad hoc project/research and presentation work and other relevant initiatives.
Organize and execute events related to corporate hospitality in the relevant markets including budgeting, costing and coordination with external event management companies.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
6+ years of professional experience in retail or transactional banking. Direct card experience strongly preferred.
Ability to demonstrate strong negotiation skills.
Strong commercial skills and ability to put together deals.
Ability to demonstrate sound business judgment with long-term view.
Strong analytical skills (ability to derive insight from data and make recommendations).
Excellent sales, account management, project management, presentation, strategic planning and budgeting skills.
Previous consulting experience would be beneficial.
