We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager to join our client in the engineering industry, with a specialised focus on power plants.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth.
This role requires a deep understanding of the power plant sector, exceptional sales skills, and the ability to manage complex projects and negotiations.
Duties and Responsibilities Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and market trends in the power plant sector.
Analyse competitor activities and industry developments to inform strategic planning.
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and expand the customer base.
Identify potential clients and develop relationships with key decision-makers.
Understand client needs and requirements, providing tailored solutions to meet their business objectives.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through various channels such as networking, industry events, and cold calling.
Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve sales targets.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
Monitor project progress, manage risks, and resolve any issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and business development activities.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant.
Business development experience within the engineering sector.
Sales Background in products to the power-related sector within mining/ industrial manufacturing industries.
Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
Strategic and sophisticated approach when solving complex manufacturing problems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
