JOB SUMMARYOur client is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to spearhead strategic growth initiatives in targeted regions across Africa. The organization values strategic thinking, robust client relationships, and the ability to navigate complex market dynamics.THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTIn order to be shortlisted for this vacancy, the successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies, but not limited to:Bachelor's Degree in Business, Commerce, or Marketing (Honours is advantageous)5-8 years of senior business development or sales experienceMinimum of 5 years' experience in the maritime industry, with additional Oil & Gas experience a plusDemonstrated track record in managing large-scale projects in South Africa and AfricaFamiliarity with West and Southern African marketsWillingness to travel extensively, with less than 50% of time spent in Cape TownJOB DESCRIPTIONThe role responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Designing and implementing a comprehensive growth and marketing strategy for targeted African regionsIdentifying and mitigating risks associated with new markets and projectsDeveloping and managing partnerships, alliances, and joint ventures in the identified marketsLeading M&A efforts to drive business expansionActing as the Key Account Manager for high-profile clients in strategic marketsPlease be advised that only shortlisted candidates that have the specific skills and experiences required to fulfil the responsibilities of the role will be contacted for an interview by one of our consultants.
