As Bulbshare rapidly accelerates its growth, we are looking for an exceptional Business Development Manager to join our team and contribute to our mission.
Your role:As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving new client development with leading consumer goods and services companies, internationally.
The role is vital to the company's overall growth strategy, and you will function as part of a small sales team working collaboratively on opportunities from prospecting to close. The role carries a quota with expectations to meet or exceed targets. You will be expected to plan, approach and close new business opportunities moving them through each stage of the sales cycle. You will be fed some leads but will need to add to this with proactive sales development and effective account strategies.
To succeed, you will need to be a charismatic sales developer with a consultative sales approach and ideally a proven track-record selling to senior management across insights/research, innovation, and marketing. Experience selling SaaS or other technology platforms is also desirable.
You will sweat the details and will obsess over optimising every piece of the sales cycle. If you are intelligent, persistent, quick-witted and can clearly communicate our value-proposition while broadening a customer's perception of its value then you will fit right in!
You'll also appreciate securing a lasting client relationship is more than just a pitch deck and a broad smile – we will arm you with case studies, demos, marketing and the solutioning support needed to succeed.
Key responsibilities: As Business Development Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
Lead the sales cycle from opportunity identification to contract negotiation across all Bulbshare offerings and working with clients, prospects and Bulbshare teammates Build strong relationships with prospective clients by creating trust and confidence at multiple levels within their organisations Articulate and demonstrate the value of our offering through solution-based selling and detailed scoping of use cases / needs and then proposal writing and presentation Continuously drive pipeline growth and proactively manage deals through every stage to ensure sufficient coverage and rate of sale to deliver your quota Collaborate with teammates in research, community, and product to ensure new clients are handed over and we remain commercially engaged (e.g. joining monthly / quarterly reviews) to support expansion and renewal Serve as a catalyst for change and continuous improvement - leverage existing resources, developing new materials, and work with teammates to refine and implement changes to our sales strategy / process Contribute to a positive team culture of performance, collaboration, and openness Be an evangelist for the transformative power of community-led growth through Bulbshare What we are looking for:Qualifications and technical skills required 4+ years B2B experience in an individual contributor role selling insights or SaaS techProven experience as a sales hunter with data driven results - initiating client conversations from scratch to develop new business opportunitiesExceptional communication and presentation skills - ability to speak fluently to various level contacts including practitioners, senior managers to executivesSolution selling skills with well-developed influencing and negotiating abilitiesAmbitious and results-oriented sales contributor with proven record of sales performance and future growth potentialExemplary administration, organisation, and communication skillsA hands-on start-up mentality and entrepreneurial spirit, and the ambition to join a fast-growing company and make an impactExcellent communication skills and command of English, both written and spokenAbility to plan ahead, multitask and drive solutions around related aspects of your roleExcellent analytical problem solving skillsGenuine curiosity and energy in your chosen field, we value self motivated individualsCommercially focusedAbility to build relationships across departments, suppliers and clientsTeamwork: Candidates should possess the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote team.What's in it for you:Values driven culture where we connect, collaborate & co-create38 days holiday including statutory bank holidaysCompany sick payHealth cash plan provided by Health Shield in the UKHealth insurance provided in the USAEnhanced family statutory payCompany pension in the UKFlexible hours to bring out the best in your performanceSupported learning & development with 6 monthly reviewsQuarterly fun daysDress for your diary & own your unique styleTech providedContact:To apply, please send your CV and cover letter to [email protected] with the subject 'Business Development Manager Application'.
