We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Development Manager to join our team in Cape Town. This pivotal role involves implementing, executing, and monitoring field sales strategies across our B2B points of sale. You'll play a crucial part in driving sales growth, enhancing brand visibility, and ensuring the seamless execution of our sales plans.
As the Business Development Manager, you'll lead and inspire a team of Business Development Executives, guiding them to achieve their sales targets and support the growth of our brands within their territories. Your role is essential in maintaining the high standards of Fossil Group's brand execution at points of sale and in aligning regional and local sales strategies with our overall business objectives. We are also expanding our distribution network into the rest of Africa, strategically allocating our distribution customers across the continent to tap into new markets and drive further growth.
Key Responsibilities:

Sales Target Achievement:

Drive the achievement of annual and field sales targets.
Maximize profit opportunities within the field channel.

Territory and Team Management:

Conduct regular business reviews with territory teams.
Manage the sell-in process and regional events using company tools.
Oversee order management and ensure efficient use of CRM tools.

Brand and Product Execution:

Ensure alignment with Fossil Group's brand and product range standards.
Identify and leverage sell-through opportunities.
Maintain compliance with Fossil Group's terms and conditions, including selective distribution and brand execution.

Cross-Functional Coordination:

Collaborate across various functions to support the business plan.
Utilize sales analytics to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

Sales Expertise:

Proven experience in sales, preferably in managing field sales territories and teams.
Strong negotiator with formal training and demonstrable success.

Analytical and Strategic Thinking:

Highly analytical with a knack for developing and executing business plans.
Adaptable to change and self-motivated to achieve results.

Communication and Project Management:

Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Project management skills, including stakeholder management and regular updates.

Educational Background:

Ideally, holds a bachelor's degree.

Product and Brand Understanding:

Deep understanding of products, categories, and brands.
Ability to enhance and support brand recognition and sales.
