Job Description Key Responsibilities • Be the drivingforce and ambassador for Ontec's products, solutions and services portfolioboth internally (employees) and externally (customers)
• Activelyparticipating in building the customer growth strategy and sales execution planfor Ontec, while setting specific customer strategies to ensure a winningformula
• Develop &update sales forecast for responsible areas
• Develop andimplement business plan to retain and grow all existing customer withcomplementary products and servic (active farming)
• Develop andmaintain a power and influence matrix for all customers
• Call on targetedcustomers and promote the sale of Ontec products and services
• Provide technicaland commercial support to customers
• Actively keep themarketing team updated on competitor's activities in relevant area across allproducts and solutions
• Attend sales andcompany training on products and service to improve the knowledge required.
• Liaise with otherdepartments throughout to obtain required results and objectives
• Manage thedesignated customers /territory to achieve all revenue and profitabilitybudgets and objectives within defined time frames
• Effectively andenthusiastically promotes the company value proposition to potential customers,the market, industry leaders and stakeholders
• Proactivelymanage proposals RFP/tender responses by identifying bottlenecks andincorporating contingencies
• Respond to andwin RFP's through the clearly written submission documents that build a casefor company services.
• Attend andparticipate in industry events such SARPA, AMEU, Enlit Africa, etc,.
• Together with BidManagement develop and maintain a detailed tender price log for all competitors
• Contractnegotiations on new tender awards
• Ability to workon complex bids and lead a large team during capture activities
• Ability tonegotiate and finalise multi million Rand deals.
• Develop salespipeline for new opportunities as part of revenue plan
Requirements • Engineering/BusinessDegree or equivalent
• Effective andclear communication skills
• Ability toinfluence customers
• Must be fluent inEnglish & preferably French – both written and verbal communication.
• Previousexperience in a technical sales/business development role (minimum 3 years).
• Experience in theutility metering solutions (water and electricity) would be advantageous.
• Previousexperience and working knowledge of Software solutions and IoT
• Excellentinterpersonal skills with high levels of self-motivation.
• Must be willingto travel nationally and occasionally overseas.
• Previousexperience and knowledge of the utility industry and sales cycles will beadvantageous.
• Existingrelationships with utilities, agents and distributors in Africa would be ideal.
