Summary of Key Responsibilities Account Management – People, Program, Price, Performance (KPI's). Account retention and organic growth. New Business Development – Developing target prospects and making contact, developing opportunities, preparing & presenting proposals and winning new business.Responsible Care, Environment, Health & Safety To follow all EHS policies and proceduresTo follow all environmental policies and proceduresTo report all accidents, incidents and near misses to their supervisorPromote Responsible Care principlesParticipate in training as requiredParticipate in consultation on all EH&S related mattersMaintain hygiene at all timesPeople This position requires cooperation and planning with business management, commercial, technical, financial & administration, and equipment as well as account managers and service technicians in the field to ensure that the needs of the business and customers are consistently met.The incumbent is expected to use his/her experience and industry knowledge to provide day to day leadership of the people working in Africa on commercial and technical functional areas.Communications One on one inter-relationship and cooperation with all field staff.Minimum monthly reports, weekly telecons (Sales Meetings) as required with business managersReports and documentation as required.Specific Accountabilities Maintaining the highest safety standards to ensure there are no incidents or accidents in the working environmentIdentify and qualify new business opportunities in the HPI/CPI market, both domestically and internationally.Develop and maintain relationships with potential clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.Conduct market research and analysis to identify industry trends and opportunities specific to HPI and CPI products. Prepare compelling proposals and presentations to showcase our company's HPI and CPI solutions and their value proposition.Negotiate and close contracts with new clients for HPI and CPI products.Manage the sales cycle for HPI and CPI products from lead generation to contract signing.Support the sales team by providing product knowledge and technical expertise related to HPI and CPI.Stay up-to-date on the latest developments and trends in the HPI/CPI industry.Travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.Managing existing accounts as allocated ensuring satisfaction and ongoing profitability by professional and effective account management processes and skills designed to deliver and exceed customer expectations and adding valueManaging prospects effectively and making contacts within the allocated targets and markets. Working with support groups to establish, maintain and prioritize an accurate and current prospect list.Providing professional on site service work to customers including water analysis and testing as required, ensuring water treatment programs are controlled according to design parameters and that performance criteria is strictly monitored and achievedWorking with other team members and resource groups as necessary to ensure that customer deliverables are met and maintainedPerson Specification Must be confident in working for long periods unsupervisedMust be able to meet deadlinesBachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field, preferably with a focus on relevant industries served by HPI and CPI products.Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, with a proven track record of success in a B2B environment.Demonstrated understanding of the HPI/CPI industry and its applications.Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to travel as required.Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Ideally bilingual with regional language proficienciesMust be fully computer literate, i.e. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etcShould have experience and understanding of industrial processesShould have experience and understanding of industrial engineering processes relating to cooling and steam processes Similar Jobs (1) Business Development Manager (Upstream Energy market segment) locations South Africa (Remote) time type Full time posted on Posted 30+ Days Ago At Solenis, we understand that our greatest asset is our people.
