As they continue to expand their market presence, they are looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager for Africa to drive sales strategies and cultivate new business opportunities.Position Overview: As a Business Development Manager - Africa, you will play a pivotal role in channel management, identifying new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing customers, and driving growth initiatives across the African continent. Leveraging your extensive experience in business development and your deep understanding of the market, you will lead efforts to communicate engineering solutions and value propositions to prospective clients and representatives.Key Performance AreasManage Channel Partners: Support and develop in-country representatives and resellers.New Business Development: Identify and cultivate new business opportunities in targeted markets.Relationship Management: Maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with channel partners.Business Planning: Develop and execute joint business plans with partners to drive sales.Sales Strategy: Assist partners in creating and implementing effective sales and marketing strategies.Market Analysis: Analyze sales data and market insights to identify growth opportunities.Customer Accounts: Improve account penetration and cross-selling of products, solutions, and services.Sales Pipeline Management: Manage sales forecasts and project acquisition processes.Competitor Analysis: Conduct competitor analysis to inform strategy.Customer Satisfaction: Manage and resolve customer complaints in collaboration with the Area Sales Manager.RequirementsQualifying CriteriaQualifications: National Diploma or N6 and Trade Test in Instrumentation and Automation.Experience: 8-10 years in Instrumentation Sales or Business Development, with a proven track record in technical sales, preferably in Africa.Skills:Experience in new business development (within Process Instrumentation or an allied Industry).Channel partner management experience.Knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems.Experience with CRM software (Salesforce.com preferred).Valid passport and driver's license.AdvantageousFormal qualification in Sales Management.Sales experience in the African market.Personal QualitiesExceptional knowledge of field instrumentation.Consultative selling skills.Strong interpersonal and commercial skills.Strategic process thinking and planning.Ability to embrace company values and lead by example.TravelMust be prepared to travel extensively (locally, regionally, and internationally) to promote and support all sales areas.
