Business Development Manager - Adhesives And Advanced Lubricants

Minimum Requirements for the Role:A tertiary qualification in either chemistry or a related field is preferred but not essential.Previous experience in the adhesives, silicone, high value lubricant, or related industries is preferred but not essential.Experience in a technically demanding applications role within the adhesive industry, including automotive, sensors, or LED/lighting applications, is preferred.Knowledge of PU, epoxy, and silicone technologies while dealing with EMS companies locally is preferred.The successful candidate must ideally have experience with dispensing technologies for the materials mentioned above.Market knowledge across the South African market and neighboring countries is preferred.An understanding of market dynamics in the electronics and adhesives markets is essential.Responsibilities:Developing new business and managing key accounts within the adhesives and advanced specialty lubricants fields into the manufacturing and related industries on a national basis for the company.Developing marketing and business strategies.Implementing key account plans and strategies to ensure sales targets and objectives are met or exceeded.Managing and delivering on technical queries regarding existing and new products.Monitoring market developments to identify and assess potential new customers and opportunities.Building up market and competition knowledge by analyzing market trends.Establishing and maintaining strong business relationships.Implementing volume and pricing objectives agreed with key account customers.Evaluating technical requirements of specific customers.Assisting with selecting the correct material and grade for various applications based on functionality and performance expectations of material datasheets concerning product performance.Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
