Minimum Requirements for the Role:
A tertiary qualification in either chemistry or related fields is preferred but not essential.
Previous experience within the adhesives, silicone, high-value lubricant, or related industries is preferred but not essential.
Previous experience in a technically demanding applications role within the adhesive industry, specifically in automotive, sensors, or LED/lighting applications, is preferred.
Previous application knowledge with PU, epoxy, and silicone technologies, specifically dealing with EMS companies locally, is preferred.
The successful candidate must ideally have experience with dispensing technologies for the materials mentioned above.
Market knowledge across the South African market and neighboring countries is preferred.
The successful candidate must have an understanding of market dynamics in the electronics and adhesives markets.
Responsibilities:
Developing new business and managing key accounts within the adhesives and advanced specialty lubricants fields into the manufacturing and related industries on a national basis for the company.
Developing marketing and business strategies.
Implementing key account plans and strategies to ensure sales targets and objectives are met or exceeded.
Managing and delivering on technical queries regarding existing and new products.
Monitoring market developments to identify and assess potential new customers and opportunities.
Building up market and competition knowledge by analyzing market trends.
Establishing and maintaining strong business relationships.
Implementing volumes and pricing objectives agreed with key account customers.
Evaluating technical requirements of specific customers.
Assisting with selecting the correct material and grade for various applications, based on functionality and performance expectations of material datasheets concerning the performance of the product.
