Minimum requirements for the role: A tertiary qualification in either chemistry or related is preferred but not essential. Previous experience having worked within the adhesives or silicone or high value lubricant or related industry is preferred but is not essential. Previous experience having worked within a technically demanding applications role within the adhesive industry within the automotive, sensors, led/lighting applications is preferred. Previous application knowledge with PU, epoxy and silicone technologies, dealing with EMS companies locally is preferred. The successful candidate must ideally have experience with dispensing technologies for the materials mentioned above. Market knowledge across the South African market and neighbouring countries is preferred. The successful candidate must have an understanding of market dynamics in the electronics and adhesives markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Developing new business and managing key accounts within the adhesives and advanced speciality lubricants fields into the manufacturing and related industries on a national basis for the company. Developing marketing and business strategies. Implementing key account plans and strategies to ensure sales targets and objectives are met or exceeded. Managing and delivering on technical queries with regards to existing and new products. Monitoring market developments in order to identify and assess potential new customers and opportunities. Building up market and competition knowledge by analysing market trends. Establishing and maintaining strong business relationships. Implementing volumes and pricing objectives agreed with key account customers. Evaluating technical requirements of specific customers Assisting with selecting the correct material and grade for various applications, based on functionality and performance expectations of material datasheet concerning the performance of the product.
