DESCRIPTIONToday, more than 60% of the items sold in Amazon's stores globally are from independent sellers - most of which are small- and medium-sized businesses - providing a vast selection of products, competitive prices, and great convenience for shoppers.Amazon South Africa Marketplace Team is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to build and execute programs that address challenges and barriers faced by small- and medium-sized businesses in adopting e-commerce solutions. As a Business Development Manager, you will contribute to the development of our tools, processes, and best practices.You will be responsible for identifying and building relationships with key agencies, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to create and present compelling Amazon solutions that meet and exceed customer requirements. You will build success cases together with those accounts by providing business insights, training, identifying business opportunities, and executing a growth strategy.Key job responsibilitiesExecute programs that address challenges and barriers faced by small- and medium-sized businesses in adopting e-commerce solutions.Develop strategies for promoting e-commerce readiness with small- and medium-sized businesses.Personally lead key business development activities, from the exploratory phase to the expansion of partnerships.Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships, i.e., agencies, financial institutions, etc.Establish mechanisms to maintain a funnel of small- and medium-sized business partners, onboarding, and training.Establish mechanisms for monitoring program progress and evaluating the impact of interventions.Contribute to the development of our tools, processes, and best practices.Identify potential risks and challenges associated with program implementation.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSBachelor DegreeExperience with business developmentOral and written communication skillsProject Management skills (Stakeholder management, written communication, regular updates, program flashes, audits, review meetings, process audits)PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSAbility to quickly build credibility with external partners and internal Amazon stakeholders.Demonstrated ability and willingness to roll up sleeves and execute to get the job done.Experience in working in an ambiguous environment with changing priorities.SQL knowledge.Amazon is an equal opportunities employer, and we value your passion to discover, invent, simplify, and build.
