Business Development Executive

The incumbent of this role is responsible for sourcing and securing new business for Tourvest Travel Services (TTS). The individual is responsible for demonstrating the products and services offered by the business to new clients and driving sales accordingly, upholding TTS as a number one ranked Travel Management Company in all duties and dealings. The role has a main focus on MICE, and online technology is key in the sales position.
Alignment to all TTS policies and procedures found on Dashboard as explained during induction.

TTS code of conduct to be read, understood, signed, and upheld.

Standard Operating Procedures (SOP):

Full understanding of the SOP procedures in line with ISO 9001.
Full alignment to the TTS SOP (Standard Operating Procedure).
Ensure all operational requirements are sold to the new business clients in line with the operations (SOP).
Annual sales targets to be met.

Client Satisfaction and Relationships:

Provide high service levels to all new business clients.
Identify and manage new business clients' expectations.
Manage new business clients in order to gain the business.
Liaise with both internal and external clients.

New Business:

Obtain new businesses through cold calling, tenders, proposals, and presentations.
Strategic account planning, opportunity creation, and qualification.
Adhere to the company product strategy when acquiring new business.
Executive and stakeholder communication, with value proposition design.
Use marketing data to maximize sales effectively and efficiently by using relevant management tools.
Ensure all operational requirements are sold to the new business clients in line with the operations (SOP).
Annual sales targets to be met.
Assist team members in level of expertise.
Assist senior manager when required.
Assist in the implementations of strategies and projects.

Financials:

Ensure all financial models sold to new business clients are at the required business level.
Present Return on Investment feedback to potential new business clients.
Work closely with the Operations team on MICE RFP budgets.

Job Challenges:

Managing deadlines and internal expectations to the new business tasks.
Achieving sales targets.
Remaining IT relevant with all new technological advancements to current offering.
Finance Understanding.

Minimum Requirements:

Matric Certificate.
Degree/Diploma in Sales & Marketing or similar.
Minimum 5 years of experience in MICE.
Sales experience in the MICE sector.
Sales experience in either Travel, ERP, IT Solutions (Advantageous).
Travel Management experience an advantage.
Online and Offline Travel Management solutions.
Business, IT and Financial knowledge.
Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Presentations.
