Our client is recruiting for a Business Development Executive to add to an already successful and over-performing team. As a Business Development Executive, you will be at the forefront of identifying and securing opportunities for clients you have engaged with. You'll play a pivotal role in driving revenue through the sale of advertising across various platforms, including digital, print, broadcast, and outdoor media.
The successful candidate will have a professional and positive attitude and will be well versed in speaking to C-Suite decision makers about our services and opportunities. The successful candidate must have previous sales experience of at least 1 year in a B2B environment and a general understanding of the advertising and marketing industry.
Overview of the Business Development Executive Role:
Generating new business by offering media buying/planning services across TV, Radio, Digital, Out of Home, Press and Magazines.
Working with some of the best media owners such as Sky, Global, JC Decaux, Hearst, Mail Metro, News UK, Channel 4 & ITV.
Driving new business by selling to senior decision makers.
This is a creative role that will allow the candidate to see their advertising campaigns come to life!
Responsibilities will include:
Business Development: Proactively identifying new sales opportunities and relationships with potential clients. This will include sourcing your own leads, qualifying them and offering relevant opportunities.
Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with the clients you win. Understand their business objectives and propose tailored media solutions to meet their needs.
Sales Execution: Lead the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals. Prepare and present compelling sales presentations, negotiate contracts, and ensure successful campaign execution.
Market Analysis: Staying ahead of industry trends and market dynamics. Conduct competitor analysis and provide insights to guide sales strategies and product development.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, planning, and creative, to develop integrated media proposals that align with client objectives.
Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on sales performance metrics. Analyse campaign results to ensure client satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling and cross/up-selling.
Minimum Requirements:
12 months B2B new business sales experience within media/advertising.
Desire to work and learn in an office environment.
Proven experience in B2B sales, advertising sales, or a similar role.
Good understanding of the media landscape and advertising trends.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to work under pressure and thrive.
Proven track record of meeting sales targets.
Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
