Hire Resolve's client is urgently seeking the expertise of a Business Development Engineer in Cape Town, WC.
Responsibilities:
Develop sales opportunities for renewable energy solutions focusing on medium to large C&I projects.
Work with internal team and/or customers to develop optimized technical solutions for renewable energy projects.
Prelim technical solution design, costing, and proposal write-up.
Assist client contract negotiations.
Develop sales with new and existing accounts in assigned areas to meet business targets.
Develop competitive strategies to sales objectives and maintain knowledge of competitor activity.
Provide input on the business plan to ensure sales sustainability.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers within the industry.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years technical sales experience in renewable energy or related fields.
Technical understanding of solar PV, battery energy storage systems, diesel generators, and electrical reticulation.
Ability to work with customers and partners on technical questions and solutions.
Ability to coordinate amongst multidisciplinary teams (both internally and externally).
Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and spoken.
Ability to work well in a matrix organizational structure.
Knowledge of project management will be advantageous.
Previous large scale solar installations knowledge will be an advantage.
Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering.
