Business Development Consultant (Short-Term Personal Lines/ Commercial )

Role Summary Our Client, a prominent short-term insurance firm is in the market for a Business Development Consultants who will play a crucial role in achieving business targets for motor and household domestic insurance. The incumbent should be a self-motivated professional who can work independently or collaboratively to provide expert advice and write policies. key Responsibilities: Lead Generation Source ample opportunities for at least 10 client quotes weekly and 40 monthly. Regularly update the Lead Generation Matrix. Policy Writing Achieve a minimum of 8.5 written policies per month. Client Interaction Conduct thorough needs analyses when clients request quotes. Provide professional advice to clients. Referral Agent Network Enlist a minimum of 5 active lead referral agents. Reporting Compile weekly reports detailing leads, quotes, sales, and relevant information. Include data such as lead sources, average premium, and total premium. Product Knowledge Stay informed about product comparisons with competitors. Keep up-to-date with Short-term product changes and enhancements. Compliance Ensure all activities adhere to insurance regulations and professional guidelines. Uphold ethical standards. Continuous Learning Maintain relevant skills and knowledge for specialized advice. Stay informed about developments in relevant business areas. Professionalism Adhere to the required dress code and maintain a professional appearance. Benefits Starting salary of R15 000 CTC per month (with exceptions for candidates who can prove current earnings far exceed our basic), Uncapped commission. Requirements Qualification RE 5 or relevant finance qualification Short-term COB Own Vehicle Key Competencies Technical Retail Acumen Possess a deep understanding of technical aspects related to retail insurance. Retail Sales Skills Demonstrate effective sales skills, especially in a retail context. Risk Awareness Display keen awareness of risks associated with insurance products. Cross-Selling Identify and execute cross-selling opportunities effectively.
