Business Development Consultant

Role Overview The Business Development Consultant with our client, an Insurance Company in South Africa, plays a crucial role in expanding the client base and strengthening our market presence.
This position focuses on identifying growth opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and developing strategies to enhance our service offerings.
Key Responsibilities Conduct market research to identify potential clients and industry trends.
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
Develop and implement effective business development strategies to meet sales targets.
Collaborate with the stakeholders to grow market share in the region.
Attend industry events, networking functions, and conferences to promote our services.
Prepare and present proposals and business cases to stakeholders.
Provide ongoing feedback to management regarding market needs and competitor activities.
Requirements Skills and Qualifications Matric (Grade 12), Industry related qualifcation such as Certificate in Financial Products or Certificate in Short Term Insurance (preferable) Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably within the financial services industry.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
