My client is a dynamic and innovative contractor specializing in Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Piping, Renewable Energy, Overhead Transmission Lines, and Substations Design and Installation. They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Consultant to join their team and help drive their growth and expansion strategies into Africa . The products are in the Energy & Instrumentation arenaJob Responsibilities:Develop and implement strategic business development plans to expand our market share and enhance our brand presence.Identify new business opportunities and build relationships with potential clients, including government agencies, private sector companies, and renewable energy projects.Collaborate with the sales and technical teams to prepare and present comprehensive proposals and solutions tailored to client needs.Conduct market research and analysis to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and potential areas for business growth.Attend industry conferences, seminars, and networking events to establish and maintain a robust professional network.Negotiate contracts and close deals, ensuring that all terms are favorable to the company and aligned with our strategic goals.Provide regular reports on business development activities, progress, and forecasts to senior management.Support the development of marketing materials and campaigns that highlight our services and expertise.Willingness to travel extensively into Africa Job Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role within the electrical, instrumentation, mechanical, piping, renewable energy, or related industries.Proven track record of successfully identifying and closing new business opportunities.Strong understanding of the electrical, instrumentation, mechanical, piping, renewable energy, and power infrastructure sectors.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Ability to travel and work flexible hours as required.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.Valid driver's license and the ability to travel within the region.Professional network within the industry is highly desirable.
