SALARY AND BENEFITS: R1,4 – R1,7 mill CTC p/a
DESCRIPTION / SYNOPSIS: Our Client one of Africa's largest and most respected Commodity traders, with a worldwide footprint spanning Africa, North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Relevant degree/Tertiary qualification in Finance / Economics / Maths and Stats etc.6+ years in Commodity Finance/Business Controlling in a Trading HouseExperience to Steel / metals commodity trading or similar is essential (gold, silver, lead, copper, zinc, platinum group, copper, iron, thallium, zinc, nickel, aluminium, lead)
RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the Head of Finance (Metals Segment) in Europe, the Finance and Business Controller will play an active and key role within the finance function for the Base & Refined Metals Business Unit. Scope of responsibilities include:
Accurate Daily P&LManage a team of tradersTrading Position ReconciliationMargin Variance ExplanationsDecrease Operational RiskMonitor Market RiskReporting on performance metricsFX Exposure CalculationsInterest & Working Capital CalculationsInventory ControllingIdentify and drive improvements.Key Project member in system implementationFrom a Finance perspective, you will also oversee the Accounting function; including CAPEX Submissions & Tracking, Cost Management, Treasury Operations & Cash Planning.
