The Business Automation Manager is responsible for leading and managing the automation of business processes within the organization. This role involves analyzing current processes, identifying opportunities for automation, and implementing technological solutions to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall productivity. Additionally, the Business Automation Manager will spearhead initiatives to streamline business processes, optimize data analysis, and drive strategic decision-making through the effective use of data and technology. The Business Automation Manager will collaborate with various departments to understand their needs, design appropriate solutions, and ensure successful deployment and integration of automation tools.Role DescriptionStrategy and PlanningDevelop and implement comprehensive business automation strategies increase efficiency and reduce manual workloads.Identify key areas for process improvement and automation across all departments.Create and manage a roadmap for the implementation of automation initiatives.Process Analysis and DesignConduct thorough analysis of existing business processes to identify inefficiencies and areas suitable for automation.Design and document optimized processes and workflows.Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure solutions meet their needs.Implementation and ManagementSelect and implement appropriate automation tools and technologies.Oversee the integration of automation solutions with existing systems.Manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.Data Optimisation and Strategic Decision-MakingLead the design and implementation of analytics solutions to extract insights from data and drive data-driven decision making across the across the business to streamline business processes and optimise data analysis.Oversee the development and maintenance of business intelligence tools and dashboards to provide actionable insights to stakeholders. Implement systems and tools that enhance data collection, management, and analysis.Utilise data and technology to drive strategic decision-making across the organisation.Collaboration and CommunicationCollaborate with cross-functional teams in IT, Product, Business, Compliance and Fraud departments to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation and gather requirements and ensure successful implementation of automation solutions.Collaborate with analysts and data engineers to ensure the successful execution of projects.Provide training and support to staff on new automated processes.Communicate progress, challenges, and results of automation initiatives to senior management and other stakeholders.Monitoring and OptimizationContinuously monitor the performance of automated processes.Analyse data to assess the impact of automation on efficiency and productivity.Implement improvements and updates to automation solutions based on feedback and performance metrics.Leadership and DevelopmentLead and mentor a team of automation specialists and business analysts.Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and developments in business automation technologies and practices, as well as analytics, intelligence, compliance, and fraud trends.Qualifications and ExperienceDegree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields – (essential).+5 years' experience in a similar capacity or roles related to business process automation, business analytics, or business intelligence - (essential).Demonstrated experience in leading projects from conception to completion, including requirements gathering, solution design, implementation, and stakeholder management. Experience in leading and managing teams of analysts, data engineers, or similar roles, with a focus on coaching, mentoring and performance management. Experience working in relevant industries such as finance, retail or banking with a deep understanding of industry specific challenges and opportunities – (preferred). Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java along with experience in data manipulation, transformation, and modelling – (desired). Demonstrated success in driving business process improvements, cost savings, revenue growth, or other measurable outcomes through the implementation of automation and analytics solutions. Strong understanding of business process and workflow automation techniques.Proficiency in data analyses and visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar. Experience with business intelligence platforms and data warehousing concepts.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
