Primary Responsibilities: The Sales Consultant will be a member of the Business Assurance Division. In conjunction with the business strategy set by the Business Assurance Business Manager and Sales Manager, grow all service offerings offered within the Business Assurance business unit. This will include but is not limited to certification, training, customized audits and technical consultancy, by pro-actively and re-actively, selling and promoting the product ranges on offer, to all industry sectors in South Africa, with the prime objectives of meeting the divisional budget by obtaining new clients and growing the portfolio of existing clients.
Specific Responsibilities: Perform all duties in accordance with the SGS Statement of IntegrityCompliance to all relevant SGS Business Assurance South Africa operational quality policies and proceduresFamiliarization with audit and certification processes and practicesImplement the divisional Sales Plan, supported by KPI'sPromoting all service offerings within the Business Assurance UnitEnsure targets for proposals, client's visits, sales of new clients and sales revenue for Business Assurance are achievedProposal follow-up on all proposals in accordance with divisional Sales policies and proceduresBecoming familiar and conversant with Sales Prospecting as per the SGS Business Assurance policies and proceduresAppropriate use and handling of Client Data/Proposal/Service Offer WorksheetsAdhere to all quality and safety requirements of the SGS management systemTarget growth on the different industry sectors to increase industry mixPromote the image, capability and integrity of SGS to our clientsPerform any other reasonable tasks as assigned by direct line managerRequired Skills and Experience: Food and non-food Management systems Certification Audits (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 22000, FSSC etc), training backgroundMinimum of 3 years sales experience coupled with good industry knowledge and proven sales track record / performanceCustomer face to face meetings, client and supplier liaison experienceAbility to consistently meet deadlinesAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamSuperb organizational skillsAbility to multi-task and handle several issues simultaneouslyAbility to maintain a positive and professional attitude when dealing with escalated issuesSelf-motivatorGood verbal, written and communication skillsOutstanding attention to detailWork must be done systematically and with the highest level of accuracy.Organizational and record-keeping skills
