OVERALL PURPOSE OF THIS JOB:
System administration and related support and maintenance of the relevant Business Application Systems in all areas regionally and nationally as required.
KEY RESULT AREAS: System AdministrationThe Business Applications Coordinator is accountable for systems administration and related support and maintenance of the relevant Business Application Systems in all areas.Work with specific users to support them in their roles – assisting with user queries, troubleshooting, resolution of problems and escalation where necessary.Responsible for communicating with staff especially with regards to updates, problems and feedback.Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders i.e. Integrated Tertiary Support Unit (ITSU) and Group IT.Communicate effectively with other team members, clients, and users, ITSU, Group IT to promote cooperation and mutual success in the specified areas or applicable specialised system.Implementation of role appropriate initiatives and innovation.Escalate issues to the appropriate parties based on user concerns and questions.System TrainingReview system specific training guides and distribute accordingly.Develop training material for internally developed systems in area of specialisation.Provide training to users to ensure that stakeholders and users have the required knowledge to make optimal use of the relevant Business Application systems including new user training, ongoing training and the management of all relevant training materials.Review updates and trends to system of specialisation to provide innovative suggestions and solutions to users and system updates.Help Desk ManagementContribute to the development and maintenance of appropriate standards, procedures and documentation related to the specified areas of responsibility.Helpdesk management (IIE Assist), daily logging of helpdesk queries, tracking the resolution of queries and incidents, troubleshooting and a monthly helpdesk analysis.Point of escalation specifically in finance, finance related applications, functions and portals.Specialised System Focus (Finance, Marketing and Academic)Point of escalation specifically in the area of specialisation, related applications, functions and portals.Provide input and support for key business strategic initiatives related to area of specialisation.Support on key business strategic system related projects – where necessary.Social MediaDaily allocation of leads.Responding to social media posts.EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Minimum a tertiary qualification in the related discipline – Business Analyst or Information Systems related qualifications. Special Requirement: Driver's License.EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 2 years IT/Business Analysis and or project management experience.COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Interpersonal skills characterised by tact and diplomacy.High delivery ability and deadline driven.Organizational and problem-solving skills.Systematic in approach to tasks.Attention to detail.Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.Problem solving.Business process analysis.
