About the job Business Analyst SpecialistContract positionMinimum requirements:Bachelor's degree in business administration, Accounting, Computer Information Systems, or a related field required10 years of working experience (business or IT) in various analysis roles5 years of experience in data mining and/or software development environmentStrong knowledge of the SQL language preferred5 years of experience in the financial services industry preferredPrevious experience with project management and successful delivery of software projects requiredExperience working with Oracle and/or SAP is a plusModeling (ARIS /UML)Responsibilities:Develop collaborative relationships through dealing with different cultural customs and political factorsAssist with understanding, analyzing, and defining business requirements for the project, review existing and other potential solutions to meet these requirements, design, and construct software solutions for test and quality assurance purposesContribute to a culture of transformation by participating in Nedbank culture building initiatives, business strategy, and CSIDesign and develop documentation of the solution using a variety of software systems including whiteboard sketching, Word docs, PowerPoint presentations, Visio diagrams, .pdf documents, HTML, and XML filesDiffuse and address conflict. Identify where conflicts and/or synergies exist between technologies and business functionsDefine system architecture or diagramsMaintain system documentation and associated recordsPrepare programmatic documents such as task lists, work breakdown structure (WBS), budgets, and risksObtain buy-in for developing new and/or enhanced processes that will improve the functioning of stakeholders' businessesPromote and contribute to the organization's Business Analysis (BA) Centre of Excellence
