Purpose of Position: Business Analyst Manager is responsible for leading a team of IT BA professionals and championing the BA Guild. This role will work closely with BAs, Architects, Delivery Manager, Delivery Team, Business stakeholders, and product owners to drive business analysis process and practice improvements.
Requirements: BABOK certification (Advantageous) (Required)Six-Sigma Black Belt certification (Advantageous) (Required)University Degree in Computer Science, Informatics or Business Administration (Post Graduate Degree preferred) (Required) Required Experience: 8 – 12 years' direct work experience.Ability to create systematic and consistent requirements specifications in both technical and user-friendly language.Clear understanding of product management and market placement.Demonstrated knowledge of the organization's core business process and operations.Demonstrated project management skills and project management software skills, including planning, organizing, and managing resources.Excellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.Exceptional analytical and statistical skills with the ability to apply them to systems issues and products as required.Experience overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products.Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, elicitation, modeling, verification, methodology development, and data modeling using BPMN notation.Understanding of application development and software development life cycle concepts. Key Responsibilities: Analyse and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards.Assist with the interpretation of user requirements into feasible options and communicate these back to the business stakeholders.Champion conducting research on software and hardware products to meet agreed-upon requirements and to support purchasing efforts.Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements and processes to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders.Conduct interviews to gather user requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods.Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and maps to provide direction to developers and/or the project team.Develop and conduct peer reviews of business requirements to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted.Develop organizational policies, standards, and guidelines for requirements definition and management.Identify, analyze, and design business processes to identify alternative solutions to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and exploit new technologies and automation opportunities.Lead design sessions in prototyping new systems for enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow.Lead in the QA of purchased solutions to ensure features and functions have been enabled and optimized.Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary.Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives for improving processes in operating systems across the organization.
