We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst to join our dynamic team and help optimize our internal systems and customer facing digital products, to improve overall business performance.
Job Purpose:
As a Business Analyst at First Group, you will be responsible for analyzing and translating business requirements into scope and specifications for development teams to implement, and support the implementation of the business systems solutions that drive operational efficiencies and improve customer engagement. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, software development, operations, and management, to ensure system requirements are well-understood by all stakeholders, and solution requirements are effectively defined and deployed.
Key Responsibilities:

Translate business requirements into technical scope of work and deliverables.
Manage requirements and solutions change through a project lifecycle.
Ensure documentation or documented information is always accurate and the latest version.
Define User Stories and Tasks for the IT and software development team, including accurate acceptance criteria.
Validate the technical solution delivered meets the requirements defined by business.
Create requirements and high-level technical specification documentation for 3rd party systems and software development service providers.
Support training and user adoption of new systems or new features and functionality for existing systems.
Align with the company and team culture and support the achievement of objectives and standards of excellence.

Competencies Required:

Attention to detail, high proficiency in English language, IT and Digital systems and Business terminology.
A proven track record working as a business and or systems analyst and delivering:

Comprehensive requirements analysis documentation for IT, Digital and software development teams.
Manage change and keep documentation updated and align understanding through the project lifecycle.
Managing QA testing and UAT phases of IT systems and software development projects.

Exceptional communication skills – ability to understand and communicate at multiple levels – from management to operational and technical stakeholders in a cross-functional Enterprise environment.
Ability to create system diagrams and other visual documentation to explain IT, Digital and software systems.
Manage commitments and meet agreed deadlines.
Provide support to all stakeholders through the analysis, development, testing and deployment phases of the product delivery lifecycle.
Ability to self-manage and take accountability, with a strong work ethic, in a highly dynamic fast-paced environment.
Work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum 5 years working in a similar role.
Adept at problem solving and facilitating collaborative solution definition.
3 to 5 years' experience working within a Microsoft and Azure cloud environment and applications:

Azure DevOps administration.
MS Teams.
Office365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
SharePoint.
Visio.

3 to 5 years' experience working in these domains:

Enterprise, large scale IT systems.
System integrations, APIs.
Database architecture.
Understanding of Full tech stack from UI/UX, integration layers to backend logic and database.
Cross functional Enterprise projects: Sales, Marketing, Finance, Debtors, IT, HR.

Tertiary Degree in Information Systems related subjects – preference if this includes Commerce, or Finance related domains – post-graduate preferred.
A recognized Business or Systems Analyst certificate or qualification (preference given to BABOK aligned credentials).
Advantage if the candidate, in addition to the above, has Agile Product Owner certificate and experience.
Experience in the hospitality industry is an advantage.

Pay: R30000,00 - R40000,00 per month
