Details of the offer

We are Growth Lending. We work with innovative and high-growth SMEs, helping them to accelerate their growth by providing flexible credit and debt solutions. We provide facilities from £100,000 to £30m and have lent more than £1bn to SMEs in the UK over the last decade. We have offices across the UK, and in Cape Town, South Africa. We are now expanding internationally and know that building our own bespoke technologies is vital to our growth, so this is a truly exciting time to join. This role represents the start of your journey into a career in systems development. We have developed our sophisticated inhouse system over the last 3 years and there is much more exciting work to do. A Senior BA will guide and support you, with mentorship from our CTO. You will focus on the end-2-end processes required to develop and enhance system components. To do this, you will learn about our core business and workings of the platform. You will then work with key business individuals to understand the needs of the different system users. You will ultimately be responsible for designing new or enhancing existing components, working with our team of experienced developers in Manila to get them built within our Agile working style. You will test the deliverables and make sure the system is fit for release into production. We are looking for someone with a genuine fascination with building tech solutions in the finance space. The core skills we look for include confidence with numbers, with an ability to understand and manipulate maths formulae. You'll be able to break problems down into smaller chunks, applying strong logical reasoning. Attention to detail is a must as well as strong interpersonal skills - you'll be an enthusiastic team player. Knowledge and experience of building modest sized systems is advantageous. In return for all that you bring, we'll give you the training and mentorship you need to succeed. You'll need to have a degree in Engineering, Technology or Business from a top university. Evidence of prior work experience is highly desirable, in whichever field. This role will stretch your intellect and power your development, as we have a strong track record of growing talent in this arena. Our CEO holds a degree in Computer Science and is fascinated by technology. As a result, this system is a core business priority. The question is never "What shall we do next?", but always "How do we prioritize and deliver these innovative projects?". Our system will be the most comprehensive across our peer group, so every step the team takes is vital to our success. To play your part, you must consider yourself a strong, creative problem solver with a hunger to develop. You'll pride yourself on both the quality of your inputs and the overall team's output. We aren't expecting you to be the finished article. Instead, we are looking for someone smart, hard working and focused on professional growth. You will form part of an established and cohesive team. We offer exceptional professional growth to everyone across Growth Lending Group through a mixture of training, coaching and mentoring. If you are interested in our thriving organization, then please get in touch. We do things differently. Growth Lendingis no ordinary place to work. From the start we have focused on driving up diversity and inclusion in the financial services space. We strive constantly to ensure that throughout our team, at all levels, we achieve a diversity that matches the world around us and not just the sector in which we operate. To support this aim we offer every member of the team the following:•An organisation that embraces and encourages diversity, top to bottom and end to end•Diverse recruitment panels•Enhanced parental leave policies and practices•Flexible working patterns, including working from home and fitting around the family, plus part-time positions where possible from a business perspective•Strictly monitored and enforced pay equality•One-to-one coaching and mentoring programme from a highly skilled and experienced People team•Access to high quality internal and external training•Excellent benefits and Employee Assistance Programme as standard, with additional external support when requiredWhen we say that everyone is welcome, we can prove that we mean it.
