Business Analyst (Cloud/Infrastructure)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst (Cloud/Infrastructure) to join our dynamic IT team.The successful candidate will have a strong background in Information Technology with a focus on cloud and infrastructure projects. This role involves working closely with stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and deliver effective cloud and infrastructure solutions that align with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business requirements for cloud and infrastructure projects.Translate business needs into detailed technical requirements, ensuring alignment with IT capabilities and cloud infrastructure strategies.Analyze existing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement, scalability, and modernization.
Solution Design and Implementation:
Work with IT architects and engineers to design cloud-based and infrastructure solutions that meet business requirements.Assist in developing project plans, timelines, and resource allocations for cloud and infrastructure initiatives.Participate in the selection and evaluation of cloud platforms, tools, and technologies to support infrastructure needs.
Stakeholder Management:
Serve as the primary liaison between business units and the IT/Cloud Infrastructure team.Facilitate communication between stakeholders, ensuring that business requirements are understood and addressed effectively.Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and issues.
Project Management Support:
Assist project managers in tracking project progress, managing timelines, and ensuring deliverables meet business needs.Contribute to risk management and mitigation strategies for cloud and infrastructure projects.Support the testing and validation of cloud and infrastructure solutions to ensure they meet the defined requirements.
Documentation and Reporting:
Develop comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, process flows, and user manuals.Create and maintain reports on project status, resource utilization, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for cloud and infrastructure projects.Ensure all documentation is up-to-date, accessible, and aligned with organizational standards.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for improving cloud infrastructure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and performance.Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, infrastructure trends, and best practices.Provide recommendations for adopting new technologies and methodologies that enhance business operations and IT capabilities.
Educational Background:
Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.Certification in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) is an advantage.
Experience:
Minimum of 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a strong focus on cloud and infrastructure projects.Proven experience working on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and infrastructure management.Experience in translating business requirements into technical specifications and working with IT teams to implement cloud and infrastructure solutions.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of cloud architecture, infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), and platform-as-a-service (PaaS) models.Familiarity with networking, server management, virtualization, and storage solutions.Proficiency in project management tools and techniques, including Agile methodologies
