IntroductionThe Lead Asset Integrity Management (AIM) Engineer leads a team of multidisciplinary engineers and specialists in order to provide asset integrity, reliability and risk assessment services to Clients. The Lead AIM Engineer reports directly to the Technical Centre Manager of South Africa.
Minimum RequirementsGraduate Engineer (Engineer in Mechanical, Chemical or Metallurgical disciplines with preference to professional registration at ECSA, OR Bachelor in Technical engineering with relevant experience, with professional registration at ECSA preferred.Post Graduate qualifications in any of the above disciplines will be advantageous.At least 7 years relevant experience in the Energy/Power/Petrochemical/Manufacturing/Mining/Oil, Gas, Chemical industry:Internal or external consultant (5 years)Project management (3 years)Risk and safety (1 year)Cross functional discipline (5 years)Business development (2 years)Experience in developing technical solutions, and associated commercial proposals.Job SpecificationOperationsThe Lead AIM Engineer shall provide technical support to the AIM project team, and contribute to meet the Department Operational performance and objectives. In particular, he/she is responsible for the following:
Managing and monitoring the delivery of AIM projects.Provides technical support to the AIM projects team in the field of Asset Integrity and Reliability.He/she is responsible for the following activities among others:Lead OPEX studies such as Remaining Life Assessment & Life Extension analysis, and Fitness For Service (FFS) analysis.Support to Industry department for technical advisory/oversight/management of Advanced NDT and Advanced Inspection using latest technologies.Oversee/perform various consultancy activities in the field of Asset Integrity such as:Risk AssessmentsRBI implementationStructural Integrity ManagementPipeline Integrity ManagementFailure InvestigationDamage Mechanisms IdentificationCorrosion ManagementReliability Centered Maintenance, etc.Financial ManagementThe Lead AIM Engineer shall manage and establish strategies along with the TC Manager to meet the Department's Financial performance and objectives.
Sales PerformanceThe Lead AIM Engineer is responsible, in collaboration with Sales & Marketing, and support of TC Manager, to identify new potential clients and present the AIM services to new and existing clients. He/she contributes to the sales strategies and growth of the AIM section and services, especially in OGC and P&U markets.
ResourcesThe Lead Asset Integrity Management (AIM) Engineer leads a team of multidisciplinary engineers and specialists.
QHSEThe Lead AIM Engineer shall support and contribute to meet the Industry Department Quality & HSSE performance and objectives.
