Key Responsibilities: Form part of a multi disciplinary team Confirm that works are carried out according to specifications Monitor setting out of works Verify and approve final pipeline route alignment Check road crossing layerworks & facilitate approvals Valve Chambers structural rebar steel fixing signoff and formwork removal Bedding / Backfilling / Welding Assessment of large diameter steel pipelines and Signoff Oversight of Cathodic Protection Installation Oversight of control valve Installation Prepare / Verify and approve quantities for payment certificates Attend site meetings Monitor and report to PM on contractors progress against construction programme Assessing Contractors compliance with OHS and Environmental Management specifications BSc or BTech in civil engineering Minimum 10 years relevant verifiable practical engineering experience. At least one project must have included the construction of a minimum 400mm ND Welded Steel Pipeline Proficiency in the following computer software programs: Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel Microsoft Projects Must be fluent in English and be able to speak Isizulu (added advantage) To be based or willing to relocate to Durban, KZN Drivers license
