Bulk ControllerLocation: DurbanContract Type: Fixed term contract- 3 monthsSalary will be discussed with all shortlisted candidates.Are you a supply chain expert with a knack for logistics and customer relationship management?
We are seeking an experienced Bulk Controller to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing imports, stock, and bulk deliveries to ensure that operations run smoothly and efficiently.Qualifications:•Education: Grade 12 with a Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain or a related field.•Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in FMCG or logistics is essential.•Skills: Excellent communication, analytical thinking, conflict management, and report writing skills.
Advanced ability to manage and meet customer demands, with strong leadership to foster a culture of execution and collaboration across departments.Key Responsibilities:1.Imports Management:oOversee the clearing of import vessels, ensuring all required documentation is submitted before vessel berthing.oCoordinate with customs and relevant authorities to ensure compliance.2.Stock Management:oManage oil storage tanks at the port and ensure accurate tracking of stock movements between suppliers and customers.oMonitor tank balances across various sites in South Africa to prevent stock shortages.3.Bulk Deliveries:oPlan and manage weekly customer deliveries, booking tankers and coordinating logistics to ensure On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) delivery.oWork closely with the operations team to track and trace deliveries, providing customers with regular updates.4.Relationship Management:oBuild and maintain strong relationships with key customers and suppliers, ensuring that their needs are met through seamless communication and proactive issue resolution.oProvide regular reporting and tracking aligned with company standards.5.Contract Management:oTrack and maintain contracts between suppliers, ensuring all agreements are adhered to and deliveries align with contractual terms.6.Service Level Improvement:oContinuously evaluate service levels and suggest improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.oEnsure data accuracy in all reports related to customer inventories and monthly performance.Why Join Us?•Leadership Opportunity: You will provide inspirational leadership, driving a culture of execution and innovation across the team.•Collaborative Environment: Work alongside various departments to ensure cohesive operations and overall growth.If you're ready to take your supply chain career to the next level, apply today!
