JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:

Adhere to Quality and Safety requirements.
Maintain good housekeeping and health and safety standards.
Prepare reagents when necessary.
Order stock as needed.
Report all malfunctions to the laboratory manager.
Decontaminate all equipment and bench tops.
Ensure that relevant protocols are followed.
Be accountable for basic lab duties.
Perform all administrative duties within the laboratory.
Ensure send-away samples are dispatched to referral labs.
Communicate with doctors and clients.
Handle all add-on tests.

Requirements:

BSc degree or any science-related degree (Biochemistry, Microbiology, or Molecular).
Good planning and attention to detail.
Able to work independently.
Computer literate (MS Office package).
Willingness to perform after-hours, shift duties, weekend work, and public holidays (own transport required).

Ability to commute/relocate:

Glenwood, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required).
