Business Development Manager/ Broker ConsultantOur client, a well-established short-term insurance underwriting manager specializing in niche products, is seeking to recruit an Afrikaans speaking Business Development Manager/ Broker Consultant to join their dynamic Fourways, Johannesburg team.Duties & ResponsibilitiesAcquire new broker partners and complete the broker application processDevelop and maintain relationships with insurance partner's BDMsDevelop and maintain ongoing relationships with brokersGrow broker portfolios in terms of GWP and number of policies incepted monthlyDealing with queries and providing information for sales and service issuesIdentify new potential brokers and opportunities for business growthConduct Product Training with Brokers – new and ongoing trainingScheduling and attending meetings and broker site visitsKeep detailed records and complete administrative tasks as requiredPrepare monthly reports for managementDevelop marketing strategies to increase profitability of the businessAny other related duties as required by Management from time to timeFacilitate sales process for brokersMeet targets set by managementActively participate in marketing and sales initiativesMaintain FAIS requirements in terms of Fit and Proper Requirements where requiredHigh degree of honesty and integrity as required by the FAIS ActDesired Experience & QualificationMust be fluent in English and AfrikaansMatric/Grade 12 Qualification or equivalentA minimum of 5 years' broker consulting experience in the short-term insurance financial services industryExperience in maintaining and growing a profitable short-term insurance portfolio and creating client-focused solutions and long-lasting relationshipsRE 5 advantageousFAIS credits for Short Term insurance advantageousOwn car and valid driver's licenseKnowledge, Skills, and CompetenciesTechnical product knowledge with regards to short-term insuranceA thorough understanding of the market, customers, products, and services available
