The Broker Assistant will work closely with the Insurance Brokers to understand client needs and provide support in developing and maintaining relationships with clients, insurers, and underwriters.Responsibilities:Assist Insurance Brokers in assessing clients' insurance needs and providing tailored solutionsDevelop and maintain relationships with clients, insurers, and underwritersGenerate new business opportunities through networking and prospectingDiary management and general office dutiesCoverage for clients:Manage and maintain accurate client records and ensure all policies are up to dateProvide excellent customer service and follow up with clients on a regular basisKeep up to date with industry trends, changes in legislation, and new products and servicesMinimum Requirements:A Grade 12 certificate or equivalent NQF-4 qualificationAt least 1-2 years of experience in the insurance industry, which will serve as a recommendationKnowledge of insurance products, underwriting principles, and risk management practicesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsMust have a valid driver's license and own transportSkills:Customer-focused with a passion for delivering excellent customer serviceDetail-oriented with the ability to manage and maintain accurate client recordsPositive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skillsTeam player with the ability to work collaboratively and support the Insurance BrokersProactive with the ability to identify and generate new business opportunities
