Transport & Transfers Company seeks a Branch Manager responsible for overseeing all business operations.
The ideal candidate should have strong administrative and managerial skills, a proactive approach, and a focus on fairness and consistency in managing people and processes.
Experience in managing-, scheduling and dealing with Independent Contractors (Freelance drivers) is a must have.
Minimum Requirements : Matric/Grade 12 5+ years of managerial experience with direct reports Experience in disciplinary action Proficient in MS Office (Excel intermediate level) Excellent English (verbal and written) Code B driver's license South African citizen Strong interpersonal and communication skills Proven operations management experience Advantageous : Qualification in Transportation or Business Management Experience in fleet and driver management Knowledge of business reporting, rate negotiations, and booking systems Experience in managing-, scheduling and optimizing a fleet of vehicles Experience in managing-, scheduling and optimizing a drivers corps Experience in advanced business reporting Experience in rate calculations, discussions and negotiations.
Experience in a booking system for travel or transportation system(s).
Experience in managing-, scheduling and dealing with Independent Contractors (Freelance drivers) Key Responsibilities : People Management : Manage leave, working hours, and overtime within legal parameters Ensure adherence to company policies Oversee performance management, staff development, and multi-skilling Client Service : Maintain high standards for vehicle cleanliness and driver professionalism Proactively manage client relationships Handle complaints swiftly and professionally Operations : Ensure fleet is maintained and utilized efficiently Monitor fuel, maintenance, and fleet costs Keep accurate tracking of fleet movements and staff timekeeping Financial Management : Oversee financial claims, invoicing, and branch expenses Ensure proper handling of petty cash and staff allowances
