Branch Manager - Chemical Raw Materials -Manufacturing - Western Cape

Minimum requirements for the role:
Minimum matric is essential.
Previous experience having run a branch or managed a sales team within the chemical raw material industry is preferred but not essential for the role.
Previous experience having sold chemical raw materials into the detergent or paint and coatings or food or related markets is preferred for the role.
Must be computer literate.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
Strong team player with the ability to build and foster relationships.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Managing the branch and driving the companies sales strategy and sales objectives for the food, detergent and paint manufacturing industries within the western cape area as well as overseeing all supply chain functions within the branch.
Developing and maintaining a cohesive national pipeline rollout implementation strategy and ensuring the regional managers and account sales personnel are aligned accordingly.
Managing company working capital and adopting a responsible prudent approach to managing stocks and debtors.
Planning and directing staffing, training requirements and ongoing personnel performance evaluations to develop necessary skillsets and identify shortfalls to ensure high levels of sales professionalism with the PPC team.
Structuring and determining a monthly price list and overseeing contractual transactions supported with accurate costings and adopting financial prudency (trade cycles and cash positive/neutral considerations).
Structuring and implementing sales budgets and regular review thereof, addressing variances and ensuring key sales metrics are met and/or exceeded.
Ensuring effective deployment of the sales teams with key customers.
Preparing budgets and approving budget expenditures.
Achieving sales and gross margin targets on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
Present sales forecasts and budgets to senior management.
Monitor and manage sales turnover, gross margin, fixed and variable costs research and development, production and distribution.
