Branch ManagerDuroplastic Technologies (Pty) Ltd is recruiting for a suitably skilled and experienced Branch Manager to manage our Cape Town team, overseeing the Western Cape Region and reporting directly to the Regional Manager: Northern Cape, Western Cape and Eastern Cape.Duroplastic is a well-established South African company supplying composite materials to trade and industry as a major supplier of a wide range of materials and products in the Sub-Saharan African region, with 5 branches nationwide including Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, George, and Port Elizabeth.The successful individual should come from a general management background with a proven track record in sales management relating to Business to Business as well as Business to Customer trading and be able to proficiently communicate across multiple levels with employees and customers.Duties & ResponsibilitiesManage all aspects of the Branch including sales, forecasts, stock control, client service, operations, administration, and financial management.Develop and implement strategic plans to sustainably grow sales and profit by expanding sales volume, the customer base, and market share across various market segments in the region.Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on them, including identifying and targeting specific industries or geographical areas for growth.Oversee all aspects of the business, including but not limited to stock replenishment, sales, internal and external customer service, operations, administration, pricing tactics, margin management, and financial management.Develop, implement or maintain procedures to ensure efficient and effective business operations and controls.Champion a culture of excellence in customer service and ensure that customer satisfaction is prioritized and maintained at all times.Implement customer feedback mechanisms and use insights to continuously improve service delivery.Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing team through effective recruitment, training, coaching, and performance management.Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and employee engagement.Develop, manage and report on the branch budget in collaboration with senior management support, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.Monitor and analyze financial performance, including sales, expenses, and profitability, and take corrective actions as needed.Report on business performance as required and prepare regular operational reports and forecasts for review.In collaboration with the procurement department, manage regional stock levels and inventory control to ensure adequate stock availability, minimize stockouts, reduce slow-moving stock, and prevent stock losses.Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures.Identify and implement effective risk management strategies to mitigate operational, financial, and regulatory risks.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.Maintain high standards of housekeeping, safety, and cleanliness in the branch premises to uphold a professional image.Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, support departments, industry partners, and where relevant, regulatory authorities.Act as a key representative of the branch within the organization and in external forums.Collaborate with senior management and contribute to strategic decision-making processes at the organizational level.Desired Experience & QualificationMatric5+ years sales and management experience preferably in construction, material supply or similar industryFinancial and business acumenGood all-round product knowledge of plastic composites, awnings, roof sheets, resins, etc highly advantageousSolid understanding of measurements, meters, sqm, linear meters, etcAble to read architectural drawings.Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-centric approach.Build and maintain good customer relationships.Fully computer literate
