Duties (not an exhaustive list):   Teach Music Theory Teach Individual lessons and keyboard ensembles Accompanying exam pupils and on occasion Choir and/or events Teach according to the St Peter's Prep Schools Best Practice pedagogy
Requirements Required Qualifications and Experience: Relevant music degree, licentiate or higher-level qualification in piano Performers or Teachers Licentiate an advantage At least 5 years of teaching experience Have experience working with the ABRSM and Trinity Syllabus Have experience teaching keyboard ensembles Knowledge of Contemporary and Jazz piano is an advantage Experience teaching piano from grade 0 to grade 7 an advantage
Candidates should have the following attributes: A clear love of music which they enthusiastically share with their students A willingness to perform with ensemble groups within the department at special occasions Have an extensive knowledge of suitable repertoire and teaching methodologies Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organisational and planning skills Be a dynamic team player A willingness to support and mentor, and to be mentored Prepared to work according to the school's ethos, specification and policies
