Position Overview: Bookkeeper with Property Management ExperienceWe are seeking a highly efficient and detail-oriented Bookkeeper with property management experience to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be quick, accurate, and able to handle multiple financial tasks in a fast-paced environment.
This role is crucial in maintaining precise financial records, managing property-related transactions, and ensuring compliance with financial and property management regulations.Key Responsibilities:Financial Management: Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.Rent & Payments Processing: Track and process rent payments, security deposits, vendor invoices, and property owner disbursements.Bank Reconciliations: Perform timely reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and escrow accounts.Financial Reporting: Generate and review monthly and quarterly financial statements for property owners and stakeholders.Budgeting & Cash Flow: Assist in preparing budgets, forecasting cash flow, and monitoring variances.Compliance & Regulations: Ensure financial records adhere to real estate accounting regulations, tax laws, and company policies.Tenant & Lease Accounting: Manage rent rolls, lease payments, and expense allocations for multiple properties.Property Tax & Insurance: Process tax payments, insurance renewals, and other property-related financial obligations.Coordination: Work closely with property managers, landlords, and vendors to ensure seamless financial operations.Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies, outstanding balances, and financial concerns efficiently.Qualifications:Experience: Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked in property management or real estate accounting.Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; an associates or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is a plus.Technical Skills:Proficient in property management accounting software (e.g., AppFolio, Yardi, Buildium, QuickBooks).Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).Excellent data entry and reconciliation abilities.Key Attributes:Highly organized and detail-oriented.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple properties/accounts.Adaptability to fast-paced work environments and shifting priorities.If you are a proactive, fast-working bookkeeper with property management experience, we want to hear from you!
