Our client is a leading company in the FMCG industry with a long history of being the best.
They are looking for an experienced bookkeeper who will report to the Lead Bookkeeper.
Purpose We are urgently seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to support our finance team with full-function bookkeeping responsibilities, including managing debtors, creditors, and cashbook entries to trial balance.
This position is essential in assisting the current Lead Bookkeeper with day-to-day financial tasks and ensuring accurate, timely reporting.
Requirements: Qualifications: Bookkeeping certification or relevant finance qualifications are advantageous.
The ideal candidate will have strong reconciliation abilities up to Trial Balance, be detail-oriented, and bring experience with accounting software—preferably Xero—as well as proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
Key Responsibilities: Full Function Debtors and Creditors Management: Handle all aspects of debtors and creditors, including invoicing, payments, and follow-up on outstanding balances.Cashbook Management: Accurately manage cashbook entries, ensuring all transactions are recorded and reconciled to trial balance.Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial statements and other reports up to the trial balance stage.Reconciliations: Perform reconciliations for accounts, including bank and supplier statements, to ensure accurate balances and timely issue resolution.Transaction Processing: Process invoices, receipts, payments, and other transactions in alignment with company policies.General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain accurate records within the general ledger, making adjustments and corrections as necessary.Immediate Priorities: Manage debtors and creditors comprehensively to maintain smooth cash flow.Take ownership of cashbook processing and perform timely reconciliations.Provide immediate support to the Lead Bookkeeper to relieve workload pressure, ensuring continuity in financial operations.Please submit your CV and kindly let me know what you are/were earning please.
