Bookkeeper - Manufacturing

Leading manufacturer is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with an accounting tertiary qualification and a minimum of 5 years to work at their corporate office in Mobeni. Kindly note that this is a 3-month fixed-term contract and applicants need to be available to commence work with immediate effect.ResponsibilitiesFull accounting function up to Trial BalanceDay-to-day accounting of accounts payable/receivable, payroll, inventory, WIP, production variances, journals, etc.Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactionsReconcile GL accountsMaintain fixed asset registerSubmission of VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL returnsLiaise with auditorsAssist Accountant with ad hoc tasksReports to: Management AccountantRequirementsGrade 12Tertiary diploma or degree in Accounting (or similar)5 years working experience (experience in the manufacturing sector will be an added advantage)Advanced Excel skillsExperience working on an ERP system (SYSPRO is an added advantage)RemunerationR20,000 (total cost to company)
