Role Overview: Lyra Health is recruiting a Bookkeeper who will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations of multiple entities within the group. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements for multiple entities within the group, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. Assist in the preparation of annual financial reports and statutory filings. General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Record journal entries for various transactions, including revenue, expenses, depreciation, and accruals. Reconcile general ledger accounts to subsidiary ledgers and bank statements. Accounts Receivable and Payable: Oversee the accounts receivable and payable functions, including invoicing, collections, and vendor payments. Monitor ageing of accounts receivable and take appropriate action to collect outstanding balances. Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payment. Payroll Processing: Manage the payroll process for multiple entities, including calculating wages, deductions, and taxes. Ensure compliance with employment legislation and payroll regulations. Fixed Assets: Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, and depreciation calculations. Prepare fixed asset schedules and depreciation calculations. Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation of corporate tax returns and other tax filings. Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations. Financial Analysis: Prepare financial reports and analyses to support management decision-making. Identify trends and variances in financial performance. System Implementation and Maintenance: Assist in the implementation and maintenance of accounting software and systems. Provide training and support to staff on accounting systems and procedures. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Sage). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. 3-5 years experience in a similar role. About you: Strong organisational and time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure. Ability to work independently and with a team. Exposure to multi-companies and multi-currencies. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Mail, etc.) is preferred, but not required. Why Lyra?
