Bookkeeper

A renowned construction company in Cape Town is seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join their team of professionals. This position is responsible for assisting the Financial Manager by maintaining financial records.Responsibilities:Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.Cash Book / Bank Reconciliation (to Trial Balance).Assisting with the preparation of financial statements.Overseeing client accounts.Creating, sending and following up on invoices.Updating financial records.Collecting and reviewing data for reports.Reporting discrepancies.Requirements:3 to 5 years' Bookkeeping experience in a similar environment.In-depth knowledge of financial management and taxation guidelines.Ability to build relationships while asking tough questions.Excellent written and oral communication ability, English and Afrikaans.Strong time management and organizational skills.Demonstrated ability with Buildsmart.Advanced Computer literacy - Microsoft Outlook (PowerPoint / Excel / Word / Email).Prior experience in a Bookkeeping role in Construction or similar.Experience in working with a diverse range of people and positions.Benefits:Competitive Salary.Contact RPO Recruitment for your next career opportunity.
