Job DescriptionA large international retailer is seeking the skills of a qualified and experienced Accountant. Reporting to the Financial Manager, the purpose of the role is to support the finance team with reconciliation of all store POS transactions and eCommerce transactions. You'll be responsible for bank reconciliations and monthly journals, and assist with regular reporting. Role covers South Africa and one neighbouring country.Responsibilities:Financial StatementsRetail errorsCustomer refunds and EFT clearing account reconciliationInvoicing sales orders for onlineOnline manual ordersStock correction journals - Damages and customer replacementsOnline bank reconsWeekly Discovery redemption reportStore taking balances and correctionOver/Unders write to discountMarketing / barter transactionsGoods shipped not invoiced recon and stock splitSalary journals and bonus accrualCustomer creation and or amendmentsCustomer account matchingRetail calculation and store budgetRetail error report and financial statement variances reportAssisting with Yearly AuditRequirements:Accounting Degree / Diploma / N6 equivalent3 to 4 years' relevant experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsComputer Literate - Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel (advanced)Microsoft Dynamics D365 system knowledge advantageousBenefits:This is a full-time opportunity that requires in-office work, Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.
