Bookkeeper

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in bookkeeping/accounting with excellent numerical skills, and the ability to manage multiple financial tasks efficiently. The candidate must live in George and preferably be a non-smoker.Academic qualifications and skills required:Matric with a formal accounting or bookkeeping qualification is essential.A minimum of 3 years work related experience.In-depth practical understanding and working knowledge of Sage Online and Pastel is essential.Assist our accountant in processing of financial records onto a computerised accounting system resulting in an accurate and complete set of books.Excellent problem solving skills and exceptional attention to detail.Advanced MS Excel capabilities.The ability to process routine and non-routine accounting entries.Perform financials to Trial Balance with supporting sub-ledgers.Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.Good work ethic and initiative.Perform bookkeeping duties such as recording, posting and processing day to day debtors/creditors financial transactions and to perform related reconciliations.Preparation of monthly financial statements.Prepare and submit VAT returns and other statutory returns for 4 legal entities.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: Up to R16000,00 per monthEducation:Diploma (Required)Application Deadline: 2024/09/30If you qualify and are interested in this opportunity, please send your CV to ******.
