Job Statement: Finance, Administration, Stock Management and Customer Service and support areas, as follows: Office Administrative and support Financial functions: Bookkeeping; Debtors Management; Creditors Management; Tax Compliance; Customers Services / Sales Support. Competencies for the Job IFRS knowledge and knowledge of VAT regulations Bookkeeping to Trial Balance experience System oriented and able to establish and maintain financial controls in response to assessed risk. Attention to detail and ability to work with accuracy even under pressure, ensuring that deadlines are met. Professional, warm and friendly disposition. Must have a customer service orientation. A team member capable of displaying strong interpersonal skills. Good written and oral communication skills with an understanding of computer systems and the usage of such systems as Pastel Evolution and Microsoft Office. Ability to work independently and have a high degree of reliability. Committed and focused person with a high level of self-motivation. Must have initiative and be a proactive problem solver. Eagerness to learn and do more than is expected. Key Responsibilities Finance and Accounting: Debtors Management and Control (raising sales orders, invoices, sending statements, following up on payments and reporting) Creditors Management and Control (raising purchase orders, receiving, sending statements, performing supplier reconciliations) Cashbook Journal processing (accruals, reallocations, provisions) Reconciliations (FAR, credit card, petty cash, fleet, inventory, balance sheet GL accounts) Loan Account reconciliations Vetting new customers by calling trade references and conducting credit bureau checks Maintaining general ledger accounts and inventory codes Tax administration (VAT201 and EMP201 etc) Reporting (Sales Reports, Income Statement, Balance Sheet) Assist Administration: HR and IR administration General Administrative functions (i.e., filing, completing supplier credit applications, ordering refreshments and stationery, arranging staff functions and meetings) Assist with arranging refreshments when customers and other stakeholders are visiting. Sales Support and Customer Care: Assist with switchboard management (i.e., answering phones professionally and transferring calls in the absence of sales support officer and receptionist) Assist with customer quotations, sales orders/picking slips, and invoicing Assist with sales reports Work with sales reps, plant managers, and procurement to fulfill customer orders and requirements ISO 9001-2008 Assist in driving ISO 9001 system
