Job DescriptionA manufacturing company seeks a meticulous Bookkeeper / Finance Administrator to join their team. The suitable candidate will oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely transactions and accurate financial records, as well as manage inventory, optimizing stock levels to meet demand while minimizing costs. The incumbent will work closely with teams to streamline processes and enhance reporting accuracy, fostering a cohesive and efficient work environment. This position is a contract position with the possibility of becoming permanent, but the successful incumbent must be able to start ASAP.Responsibilities:Accounts Receivable Management:Timely and accurate processing of customer invoices and receipts.Monitoring overdue accounts and following up with customers for payments.Reconciling accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.Identifying discrepancies and resolving issues promptly.Accounts Payable Management:Processing supplier invoices accurately and promptly.Verifying and reconciling supplier statements.Resolving any discrepancies or issues with supplier accounts.Inventory Management:Advising management of stock levels.Collaboration and Reporting:Collaborating closely with the company accountant to provide accurate financial data and reports.Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures.Generating financial reports as required and providing insights into financial performance.Ensure month-end and cash flow projections are accurate and up to date.Record daily company transactions.Maintain timely communications with clients.Manage accounts payable and receivable.Process purchases and refunds for customers.Manage inventory receiving and dispatching.Timely and accurate processing of inventory receipting and dispatching.Attending to monthly/quarterly stock taking.RequirementsMeticulous attention to detail and record-keeping skills.Conducting regular checks and reconciliations of accounts to maintain accuracy.Identifying and investigating any discrepancies or irregularities promptly.Ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly and in compliance with accounting standards.Strong understanding of accounting and financial operations.Proficiency with bookkeeping software such as Sage and Pastel.Honesty and discretion when working with sensitive information.Capacity to perform calculations quickly.Comfort working with spreadsheets and cleaning data.Detailed knowledge of accounting principles and practices.Experience as an Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable / Inventory Administrator.Strong intrinsic motivation.High degree of personal organization, and ability to prioritize tasks.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Strong collaborative ability and team-oriented mindset.Capacity to follow standard procedures.Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.Willingness to work flexible hours when necessary to ensure deadlines are met.Demonstrating a commitment to meeting deadlines by working late or starting early when necessary.Prioritizing tasks effectively to ensure all deadlines are met promptly.Communicating any potential delays or challenges to the company accountant in a timely manner.
