Summary
Maintaining the organization's key accounting records that are used to produce key financial reports and perform day to day recording of transactions.
Minimum Requirements
Bookkeeping/accounting qualification
A minimum of 3 years' experience in a financial role/environment.
Key Performance Areas
Maintain Cashbook and supplier files for handover to the auditors for financial year end.
Provide ledgers, bank statements and any other financial information that the auditors may request.
Establish and maintain a good filing system and investigate archiving of documents in an easy retrieval system.
Reconcile various monies received into the operating bank accounts.
Check and allocate tenant debit orders and cash deposits made into the operating bank accounts.
Identify and allocate all previously unallocated receipts.
Process day to day payments requested on the banking system.
Process all supplier invoices.
Collect supplier statements and reconcile them to the supplier ledgers.
Pay suppliers within the agreed upon time frame.
Process cashbooks and ensure all tenant receipts are allocated on time to close off books/accounts.
Ensure all accounts are correctly reconciled for month end reports.
Receive daily bank statements.
Process all deposits/monies received into bank accounts.
Process all payments and debit orders made from bank accounts.
Participate in community development programs implemented.
